Janitor / Custodian - Day Porter
Job Location: Fremont, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $18-$18.50/hour
Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday: 6am to 2:30pm OR Saturday to Wednesday: 6am to 2:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Janitor or Custodian? Our client is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for a busy food service operation. This temporary assignment is expected to run through October but could extend longer depending in business demand. This opportunity is also ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping facilities clean and organized.

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, beverage stations, tables, counters, floors, and windows
- Bus, clear, and clean tables during peak service hours
- Clean and sanitize display equipment to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation
- Wash dishes, glasses, pots, and kitchen equipment by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment
- Assist with receiving and moving heavy deliveries to designated storage area
- Perform additional custodial and support duties as assigned
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established food service and support service company in Fremont, California.
Experience Required:
- Previous janitorial, custodial, dishwasher, or general checking experience preferred
- Food service or hospitality cleaning experience is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable performing physical work, including standing, bending, walking, and repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
- Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team
- Spanish language skills are preferred
