Job Title: Janitor

Summary Keeps facility in a clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Sweeps, mops, hallways, restrooms, lunch areas and other areas inside and outside.
• Regularly sanitize common areas throughout the plant.
• Empties trash and garbage containers.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Cleans debris from sidewalk and patio area.
• Keeps up with cleaning supplies needed and reports for ordering when needed.
• Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies
• Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally
• Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
• Attention to detail
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
