Janitor / Custodian

Position Summary

Willbanks Metals, Inc. is seeking a dependable Janitor/Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for our employees and visitors. This role is responsible for daily cleaning of restrooms and breakrooms, as well as routine cleaning duties throughout offices, common areas, and workspaces.

Schedule & Pay

·        Schedule: Monday through Friday

·        Hours: No more than 40 hours per week

·        Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·        Clean and sanitize restrooms daily (toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, floors, partitions, and touchpoints).

·        Clean and maintain breakrooms daily (tables, counters, sinks, appliances exteriors, floors, and trash).

·        Empty trash and replace liners in offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas.

·        Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or dust floors in offices, hallways, and common areas as scheduled.

·        Dust and wipe down surfaces (desks as permitted, windowsills, ledges, doors, light switches, handrails, etc.).

·        Clean interior glass and spot-clean walls and high-touch areas as needed.

·        Restock restroom and breakroom supplies (paper products, soap, sanitizer, etc.) and report low inventory.

·        Maintain janitorial closets and supplies in a clean, organized manner.

·        Follow safety procedures for use, storage, and labeling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

·        Report facility maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly (leaks, broken fixtures, damaged flooring, etc.).

·        Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks (baseboards, vents, floor care, etc.) as assigned.

·        Other related duties as assigned to support a clean and safe facility.

Qualifications

·        Prior janitorial/custodial experience preferred, but not required (training provided for the right candidate).

·        Ability to work independently, manage time well, and complete tasks reliably.

·        Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain attention to detail.

·        Comfortable using basic cleaning equipment (mop, vacuum, broom, cleaning solutions).

·        Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and pushing/pulling carts.

·        Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

Work Environment

This role works primarily indoors in office and common areas. The position may require exposure to typical cleaning chemicals and requires adherence to safety practices and proper PPE when needed.
