Jars Data Entry Clerk - Accounting

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our Accounting team at JARS. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry for invoices related to accounts payable.

• Assist in managing the accounting email inbox and responding to internal and external inquiries.

• Clear and manage accounting request tickets in a timely and organized manner.

• Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial data in accounting systems.

• Assist with data cleanup projects, including reconciling discrepancies and validating historical records.

• Maintain organized documentation for audits and compliance purposes.

• Collaborate with AP Specialist to verify invoice and bill details and resolve issues.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role.

• Strong proficiency in data entry and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in accounts payable and high-volume bill processing.

• Experience in inventory management or retail operations.

• Knowledge of cannabis industry compliance (a plus but not required).

Compensation: Hourly Pay Range: $22-$25/hour
