Job Description

Immediate need for a talented Java Application Developer. This is a 18 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Newark, DE (Hybrid). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Spring Core and Spring Boot, adhering to enterprise coding standards and best practices.
Implement and optimize data models and persistence layers using Cassandra, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and performance in distributed environments.
Develop and expose RESTful APIs, integrate with downstream systems, and support microservices-based architectures.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

Key Skills; Java, Oracle, Spring, NoSQL/ Cassandra
Experience in Java Application Development
Experience with Spring (Framework, Spring Boot, ORM, MVC, Integration, Batch, Services)
Experience with SOA, REST/SOAP webservices, JSON/XML
Experience with any of these Source Control Tools: BitBucket/GIT, Subversion (SVN)
Experience with Maven, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI), JUnit
Experience in NoSQL DB Cassandra
Experience with at least one RDMS: Oracle, SQL Server
Experience in Apache Kafka, MQ messaging frameworks
