Job Description
Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Java Node FSE Lead Developer for their Wallingford, CT/Hybrid location.Requirements:
- Strong programming experience in Java and Javascript (required)
- Java, Spring Boot, jQuery, Angular/React, SQL / Mongo DB
- Experience building cloud native, microservices based backend systems using APIs, event driven architectures, and workflow automation
- Strong hands on experience in Java backend development using Core Java, Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot for enterprise applications
- Strong Tech lead experience, experience leading POD teams across locations in multiple time zones including offshore teams.
- Proven experience mentoring team members, troubleshooting and resolving issues faced by team.
- Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
- Proven experience building SPA applications using Angular or React JS
- Proven experience handling front end applications using HTML, jQuery, CSS.
- Hands on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudWatch
- Experience with SQL DBs like DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Aurora DB
- Experience with No SQL database like Mongo DB, Document DB
- Experience with Hibernate, JPA for ORM framework and communication with Database
- Experience with AI agents using Windsurf, Co-pilot AI for faster development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of backend system design, microservices architecture, scalability, and high availability patterns.
- Ability to translate business requirements into well designed, secure, and scalable backend APIs and services.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to debug production issues and perform RCA
- Experience collaborating with cross functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, Architects)
- Experience understanding custom AI Agents, Automating using AI Agents.
- Experience deploying Java Spring Boot backend and Javascript based front end applications in production AWS environments
- Exposure to Docker / containerization and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS Code Pipeline)
- Experience with messaging/event driven systems (SNS, SQS, Kafka – preferred)
- Familiarity with security concepts such as OAuth2, JWT, and IAM best practices
- Experience with using Windsurf for automating recurring processes building MCPs in windsurf/cursor/Claud Code IDE.
