Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively seeking JIG Builder with 7 years of experience in the Aviation industry for an assignment in Wichita.Job Description: Plan and construct layout of tools and dies from Engineering, Tool Design, and/or Methods documentsReview Methods documents to ensure producibility of tool or die and provide estimates of labor hours for construction as required Determine and order the raw materials required to build tool or dieAssemble tools and dies using and interpreting a variety of precision measurement equipment to ensure compliance with Engineering specifications Troubleshoot and coordinate with Engineering, Tool Design, Production, and/or Methods to resolve problems pertaining to the successful construction of a tool or die designRequirements:Minimum 7 years conventional machining, sheet metal, fabrication, or related experience, which must include 5 years experience in tool and die construction Ability to read and interpret Engineering, Methods, and Tool Design documentsAbility to use and interpret a variety of precision measurement instruments Ability to set-up and operate various shop machines, for example mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, table routers, power hand tools, and heat treat ovenMechanical skills Basic knowledge of safety requirements for tool and die constructionInterpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals and departments Basic knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, and algebraWorking knowledge of tool and die construction and required machinery, equipment, and raw materials#D500 JSG offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, short-term disability, 401(k), weekly pay, and more.
