Job Description
OverviewAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Journeyman Carpenter to support operations at the San Francisco VA Medical Center located at 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Our customers face wide-ranging challenges in the fields of national security, health care, and information technology. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers’ success as if it is their own.Responsibilities
- Remove, modify, and install handrails and wall protection systems
- Perform wall repairs, including drywall modification, installation of backing materials, and restoration of finishes
- Install ceiling systems (acoustic and hard‑lid), including framing and grid modifications
- Perform removal, repair, and installation of flooring systems, primarily LVT
- Support additional project‑related tasks (materials handling, site control) up to 25% of total effort
- Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this job
- Experience and skill level consistent with Davis‑Bacon classification CARP0022‑001 (Journeyman Carpenter)
- Ability to follow VA direction and work under VA in‑house construction supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow instructions
- Must complete:
- VA site orientation and safety training
- Required VA TMS courses (ICARE, Privacy, HIPAA, Customer Service, etc.)
- Must pass VA background check and wear VA‑issued identification badge
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
