Job Description
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Journeyman HVAC Technician with a strong background in chiller systems (air-cooled and/or water-cooled) to support commercial and mission-critical facilities in the Denver area. This role focuses on service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large-tonnage equipment across a variety of environments including data centers, hospitals, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform startup, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
- Service cooling towers, pumps, and associated hydronic systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance and system inspections
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and sequence of operations
- Work with BAS/controls systems for monitoring and diagnostics
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols
- Communicate with customers regarding system performance and recommendations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience
- Strong experience working on chiller systems (air-cooled and/or water-cooled)
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical components, motors, VFDs, and controls
- Experience with cooling towers, hydronic systems, and pumps
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
