  • Experienced pipefitters and journeymen with strong field skills and a solid work history.
  • Candidates who have never previously been a member of a union.
  • Willing to join our local union as a condition of employment.
  • Willing and able to relocate to the Kansas City, MO area.
Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Read and interpret drawings, isometrics, and mechanical schematics to guide installation work.
  • Select, assemble, and install piping systems and related materials per specifications.
  • Cut and connect pipe using hand tools, power tools, and methods such as welding, soldering, brazing, and threading.
  • Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including pumps, compressors, and controls.
  • Test piping systems for leaks by pressurizing lines and monitoring gauges.

Physical and/or travel demands:
  • Must have the necessary physical stamina; to include, but not limited to, long-term overhead work.
  • Must be willing and able to work beyond standard business hours, including extended workdays.
  • Must be careful during work to avoid injury (get help lifting, steps and ladder safety, etc.).
  • Must be able to work with powered construction tools safely.
  • Capability to pass Q-level-clearance to work in a secure government facility including credit, drug, and legal background checks required.
