Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing, a strong work ethic, and the ability to provide high-quality service to our customers. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems while ensuring all work meets local codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment (water, gas, drainage, and waste systems).
- Diagnose plumbing issues, troubleshoot problems, and recommend effective solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with state and local plumbing codes, building regulations, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with contractors, builders, and other trades when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on jobs.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
- Train or guide apprentices when needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Physical ability to perform plumbing tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Gas piping experience.
- Remodel experience.
- Prior experience in both residential and commercial settings.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
