Job Description

Senior Accountant/Junior ControllerTemp-to-HireLocation: New Haven, CT (Fully On-Site)Compensation: $80,000$110,000, based on experience and qualificationsQualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required *
5+ years of progressive accounting experience *
Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger, and reconciliations *
Strong knowledge of A/P, A/R, payroll, cash flow, and inventory accounting *
Construction, contracting, manufacturing, or other inventory-based industry experience preferred *
ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus *
Analytical, business-minded professional with the ability to provide financial insight and recommendations to ownership

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R, general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations *
Supervise and assist with weekly payroll for approximately 60 employees *
Lead the monthly close process and prepare accurate financial reporting *
Perform cash flow forecasting and financial analysis to support business decisions *
Analyze costs, identify process improvements, and recommend operational efficiencies *
Manage inventory accounting and understand the financial impact of inventory transactions *
Partner directly with the owner to provide strategic financial guidance and support company growth *
