Job Title: Jr. Paid Media Specialist
Location: Hybrid 3 days in Boston, MA
Duration: 12+ months with strong potential to extendRate:26-36/hour W2 + depending on experience
JOB PURPOSE:The organization manages its advertising program in-house, leveraging agency partnerships for media and production. The Junior Paid Media Specialist supports the delivery of paid media campaigns, including online advertising, paid social, and search, in connection with the organization's marketing, channel, and enterprise goals, with a particular focus on supporting US Retail activity.Working as part of the Digital Media team and reporting to senior paid media colleagues, this is a hands-on, entry-level role for someone eager to build a career in digital advertising. The specialist will help implement campaigns across digital banners, native, pre-roll, social, and search, learning the end-to-end campaign process while taking ownership of clearly defined tasks that keep campaigns running smoothly and accurately.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Campaign Setup & Trafficking- Support the Digital Media team in the day-to-day setup, implementation, and trafficking of paid media campaigns, with a focus on US Retail.
- Build and maintain campaign trafficking sheets, ensuring creative assets, copy, links, URLs, UTMs, tracking requirements, launch details, and deadlines are accurate and complete.
- Help manage campaign deadlines, closing dates, material due dates, creative technical specifications, and tracking tags.
- Provide hands-on support to the paid search program, learning to manage keywords, ads, and reporting under the guidance of senior specialists.
- Assist with routine campaign checks, data gathering, and updates needed to keep search activity accurate and current.
- Partner with in-house creative, editorial, production, publishing, video, social media, and analytics teams to gather and prepare the assets and campaign details required for launch.
- Coordinate recurring meetings, agendas, follow-up notes, and action items, helping stakeholders stay aligned on outstanding deliverables.
- Liaise with internal teams, agencies and publishers on routine campaign details, escalating more complex issues to senior team members.
- Support the accurate creation and implementation of UTM tags and tracking codes in partnership with the Analytics team and help verify that they are working correctly.
- Validate asset specifications, campaign requirements, platform standards, approvals, and multiple versions of ad units for consistency and accuracy before launch.
- Follow established Compliance processes and keep work up to date in Workfront; flag issues early and suggest improvements where appropriate.
- Help monitor campaign delivery, compile basic performance reports, and contribute ideas to optimize ongoing activity.
- Escalate delivery, tracking, or quality issues promptly to the appropriate senior team member.
- 2-4 years of experience in a digital marketing, advertising, or media role, including internships or placements; agency or account-support experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofing skills, with the ability to review multiple versions of ad units for accuracy.
- Well organized, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment while staying positive and proactive.
- Comfortable working with numbers, advertising analytics, and marketing technology, with a strong interest in developing these skills further.
- A collaborative team player able to work with a diverse internal group, from creative teams to technical and legal partners.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a "step up to see it through" mindset, with an understanding of the urgency of advertising deadlines.
- A proactive and inquisitive approach, with a willingness to investigate, troubleshoot, and offer solutions.
- Agency, media, advertising operations, or account-support experience.
- Awareness of advertising compliance in a regulated industry such as asset management or financial services.
- Familiarity with paid social, paid search, digital display, campaign tracking, analytics, or project management tools.
- Experience coordinating work across creative, media, analytics, compliance, or external partner teams.
