Westaff is recruiting for a FUN and FAST growing start up agency in South Baton Rouge.

Seeking experienced Jr. Accountant for a Direct Hire opportunity. Salary is $70-75K to start. GREAT OPPORTUNITY!

About the RoleSeeking a hands-on Junior Accountant to support and scale accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and wants exposure beyond traditional accounting tasks. You’ll help keep the books clean, support month-end close, and improve processes as we grow.Details:

Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entriesPerform monthly account and bank reconciliations

Support month-end and year-end closeManage accounts payable and accounts receivable

Assist with payroll processing and reconciliationsPrepare internal financial reports and schedules

Track expenses and support cash flow monitoringHelp build and improve accounting processes and controls

Work closely with founders and cross-functional teamsExperience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

3–5 years of accounting experience (startup or small company strongly preferred)Solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online)Strong Excel skills

Highly detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
