Junior Field Tech/Engineer

Provides the reliability and performance of the electrical distribution system by inspecting/testing/maintaining electrical equipment and devices, analyzing/determining the presence of adverse conditions, documenting / reporting test results, and taking appropriate corrective actions.

 · Instrument transformer tests – CCVT,CT, and SSVT testing.

· Surge Arrester power factor testing.

· Testing capacitor bank or power-factor correction systems

· Power transformer testing - Doble, TTR,Insulation Resistance, etc.

· Confirming circuitry via voltage checks, point-to-point, and secondary injection.

· High voltage breaker testing: timing, travel, and functional testing

· Switchgear functionals – print reading, commissioning, and troubleshooting

· ATS Testing – ensuring proper operation from normal to emergency power.

· Willing to travel for work throughout NorthAmerica, traveling 50 percent of the time.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: to qualify for consideration, you must meet the following minimum qualifications and requirements.

· Must work safely and adhere to all electrical safety core principles/procedures.

· Prefer a bachelor's in ElectricalEngineering OR an Associate’s degree/technologist diploma from an accredited two-year technical college

· Must have general PC skills, including email, internet, data entry, and Microsoft Excel

· Must be able to crawl, climb, and lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.

· Must be available for regular overnight domestic travel and occasional international travel (Canada, USA, Mexico)

· Must have a valid passport.
