Junior HR Generalist (Bilingual) Northern New Jersey
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Junior Generalist (Bilingual) to support the daily operations of the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish (or specify the required languages) and is passionate about providing exceptional employee support while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. - Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all employment documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Lead employee relations investigations related to workplace complaints, misconduct, harassment, attendance, and policy violations. Conduct interviews, collect and analyze documentation, maintain accurate investigation records, prepare findings, and recommend corrective actions while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable employment laws.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and leave requests.
- Translate HR documents and communicate HR policies effectively in both English and Spanish.
- Support employee relations by addressing routine concerns and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Assist with benefits enrollment, workers' compensation, and leave administration.
- Coordinate training sessions and maintain training records.
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Assist with performance review administration and employee recognition programs.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation as requested.
- Support payroll by verifying employee information, timekeeping records, and employment status changes.
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, including verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Experience using Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), such as ADP, Paycom, UKG, or Workday.
- Knowledge of employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO regulations.
