Position Summary
We are growing and have an immediate opening for a qualified professional Truck Driver (CDL-B) in Oahu, HI. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver and pick up dry, chill, and frozen freight to various customers across the island of Oahu. We provide a great work environment and benefits!
Responsibilities
- Handle deliveries and pickups on Oahu, HI.
- Plan daily routes and follow the delivery schedules.
- Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage.
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
- Manage routes and routines.
- Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business.
- Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.
- Move ocean containers in and out of the dock doors or around the truck yard.
- Other duties may be assigned
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Must have less than 3 minor moving violations, and no major moving violations.
- Valid Hawaii Class B license.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report, (showing 10-year driving history) within 30 days of presentation.
- May need to be required to obtain military clearance.
- Experience with refrigerated & frozen products, preferred.
- Pallet jack and hand truck experience required.
- Forklift (sit down or stand up) experience is a plus.
