Job Description

Henry's Diner (under new management), established in 1925 is a historical diner in downtown Burlington, VT. We offer good old-fashioned diner fare, breakfast all day and Greek food: gyros, Spanakopita, Greek salad, and platters. The atmosphere is old school from the front to the back. Family-owned and operated. Open 6 am to 2 pm daily. No nights! Weekends are a must. We offer a Simple IRA contribution retirement plan and two weeks paid vacation for qualified employees. We are seeking a Kitchen lead who has experience cooking & handling food in a high-volume, casual dining restaurant. Responsible for the preparation, presentation, and execution of all menu items. Must be able to follow health guidelines to ensure safe and sanitary food practices.Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 3 years of cooking experience. The breakfast experience is a plus.
Able to work on your feet for the majority of your shift.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you can be seen by the public.
Capable of lifting up 20 lbs at a time on a regular basis.
Cook food to correct temps, including meats & eggs.
Good communication skills and team building.
The candidate is fully trained you may be responsible for some opening shifts.
Reference and background checks are required.
Must be available to work on the weekends
