Kitchen Manager- (Hourly)

Job Title: Kitchen Manager

Department: BOH

Reports to: General Manager / Director of Operations

Summary: A KM is responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable margins within all inventoried products. Chefs are responsible for overseeing department’s staffing, training, and ensuring quality and speed of service. Complete inventory as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Hire, motivate, coach, and retain qualified team members.

•Maintain communications with all vendors.

•Maintain compliance with all safety and health department regulations.

•Obtain all required certifications required by state regulations.

•Perform accurate weekly & monthly inventory counts.

•Schedule staff to ensure effective and profitable shifts.

•Greet and interact with guests.

•Check and maintain quality and speed of service.

•Perform opening and closing shift procedures, and groups, promotions, or special events.

•Motivate staff.

•Resolve disputes or problems as they occur.

•Determine staffing needs based upon expected business volume.

•Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant and entertainment industry.

•Ensure all day-to-day operations are aligned with 810 Entertainment operating guidelines and standards.

Qualifications

Must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory level.

Education and/or Experience:

•2 years secondary education and must be of legal age per local law.

Computer Skills:

•Ability to operate POS register system.

•Ability to understand Microsoft Windows.

Language Skills:

•Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

•Ability to write simple correspondence.

•Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group scenarios to customers and fellow team members.

Mathematical Skills:

•Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

•Ability to compute rate and percent.

•Managing Profitability.

Reasoning Ability:

•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or-two step instructions.

•Ability to work efficiently with people.

•Decision making.

Physical Demands:

•While performing the duties of this job a manager is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
