[Job Summary]
We are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to support our purchasing, logistics, and import operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, verifying import documents, and overseeing customs clearance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in problem-solving and vendor coordination to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
[Job Description]
Manage purchase order operations and review purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies.
● Communicate with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
● Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements in purchasing, inventory control, and logistics to reduce cost and enhance workflow efficiency and optimization
● Review and verify import documents, ensuring compliance with various import regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as company requirements.
● Classify goods using the appropriate customs tariff codes and stay up-to-date on customs regulations, tariff changes, and international trade policies.
● Oversee the customs clearance process, track shipments from origin to destination, and coordinate with the internal team, vendors, customers, shipping agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and government agencies to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
● Calculate and manage duties, taxes, and other charges associated with import activities, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance.
● Proactively manage and mitigate risks in customs clearance and logistics, addressing potential compliance issues, delays, fines, or seizures before they escalate.
● Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions and generate reports on customs and logistics activities for management review.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Understanding of international trade regulations and logistics operations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors, co-workers, and customers.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Suite.
Bilingual in Korean and English to effectively communicate with vendors and partners.
Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, claims, logistics, or supply chain management.
Proven experience with transportation management, customs compliance, and trade regulations.
Proficiency in inventory management or ERP software.
