Job Summary

The Email Marketing Coordinator supports the execution and optimization of email and SMS marketing campaigns that drive fan acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role is responsible for helping build campaigns, managing audience segmentation, and supporting automated lifecycle journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, helping deliver timely, personalized messaging across key moments in the fan journey.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support the execution of email and SMS marketing campaigns, including template set-up, copywriting, basic HTML editing, audience segmentation, personalization, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Assist in the creation, maintenance and optimization of marketing automation workflows and lifecycle journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to support fan acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention.
  • Assist with the day‑to‑day management of the SMS channel by helping execute scheduled campaigns, reviewing messages for brand voice and tone, and supporting consistent, timely, and fan‑centric communications.
  • Work with sales, service, and marketing teams to support the execution of data-driven, multi-channel campaigns, and help manage email and SMS calendars within a broader cross-channel plan.
  • Build and maintain audience segments using fan behavior, ticket purchases, event attendance, and digital engagement data to support dynamic content and personalized messaging.
  • Track and report on campaign performance, support A/B testing, and apply learnings to improve workflows, templates, and overall campaign results.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, and support compliance with data privacy and messaging regulations (i.e. TCPA, CCPA, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM).

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The Email Marketing Coordinator must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:

  • Working knowledge of HTML and Photoshop skills.
  • Effective writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Project management, organizational, and proactive communication skills.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with superior attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn required business systems.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and game nights as assigned.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Communications, Marketing, or Advertising

Experience:

  • 2-4 years Related work experience.
  • 0-2 years experience with marketing automation and email service provider platforms
  • Experience in the sports and entertainment industries preferred

Payscale: $21.27 - $25.00 

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
