LAB ANIMNAL HANDLER ENTRY LEVEL - contract assignmentPay rate: $20.00 to $21.50 Per hour Hours are 7:00am-3:00pm but when rotating in the washroom 6:00am-2:30pm. Must be able to work onsite - Greater Hartford / Farmington location Our Client, a large healthcare organization, has immediate need for entry level resource to assist with their lab animal handling. (husbandry) Candidates would be accountable for independently performing a full range of tasks involved in the husbandry, sanitation, sterilization, and distribution of supplies in the laboratory. Duties:
- Feed and water animals *
- Routinely perform physical examinations *
- Sanitize, sterilize animal cages, and equipment*
- Routinely operate and maintain wash machines*
- Assembles, prepares and stacks apparatus necessary to house animals *
- Receives, stores and rotates feed, bedding and other animal care supplies and equipment*
- Transports equipment and supplies*
- Updates and maintains records
