Job Description

JSG is recruiting a Lab Tech for a client in Millsboro DE. As a Lab Tech - I (Assistant), you will play a crucial role in supporting our scientific and manufacturing operations within a safe, innovative environment committed to excellence. This position provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on laboratory experience while contributing to the health of animals worldwide. Pay $22.35/hourRequired Skills:

High School diploma/GED with industry-related lab experience or Bachelors degree with academic or industry lab experience*
Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience*
Ability to apply knowledge and skills to complete assigned tasks accurately*
Recognizes problems and uses established procedures to assess solutions*
Strong written and verbal communication skills*
Ability to work standing for extended periods*
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions*
Experience with aseptic clean room behaviors preferred

Nice to Have Skills:

Laboratory experience in biology or chemistry*
Mechanical aptitude*
Experience with environmental monitoring and sterile procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, or related field*
Relevant industry or academic laboratory experience of at least one year

Other Requirements:

Flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidaysshift hours rotate monthly*
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment following Good Manufacturing Practices*
Willingness to assist with non-aseptic procedures such as handling poultry tissue*
Ability to maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety policies
