Job Title: Lab TechnicianLocation: Beacon Falls, CTShift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | Full-Time | On-SitePay: $24-25hr. depending on skills and experience

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to support the development and testing of advanced fiber composite materials in a manufacturing and laboratory environment. This role involves working with resins, additives, and composite fibers to build and test prototype parts using a variety of processing methods.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working both in a lab and on the production floor, supporting new product development and material testing.
Responsibilities
- Material Preparation & MixingMix resins and additives including epoxies and acrylicsHandle composite materials including glass, carbon, and synthetic fibers
- Prototype Development & TestingBuild and test fiber composite parts and prototypesSupport various curing and processing methods including UV cure, amine/peroxide cure, vacuum bagging, compression molding, and filament winding
- Lab & Manufacturing SupportWork in both laboratory and manufacturing environments to support production and developmentOperate and assist with testing equipment to evaluate material performance
- Equipment OperationUse high shear planetary mixers for material preparationOperate mechanical testing machines for strength and durability testingUtilize viscometers to measure material properties
Requirements
- High School Diploma required, technical or vocational training preferred
- Prior laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to work with chemicals, resins, and composite materials
- Comfortable working in both lab and production environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
