Licenses/Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Beginner & Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP (required); AWHONN Advanced (preferred)
Experience: Minimum 2 years, but unit welcomes first-time travelers
Pay Rate: $60.30/hour

What Youll Do

Provide patient-centered labor and delivery care in a busy OB unit
Act as a C-section circulator and assist with initial newborn care
Evaluate pregnant patients and respond to obstetric emergencies
Manage fetal monitoring and perform medical screening exams
Assist in staffing the OB triage area for rapid assessments
Support patients with labor checks, decreased fetal movement, hypertension, ruptured membranes, bleeding, and urgent OB concerns
Use specialized equipment such as birthing tubs
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care

What You Need

Valid RN license for Louisiana or applicable state
Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN (Beginner & Intermediate); AWHONN Advanced preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Ability to perform fetal monitoring, rapid assessments, and interventions
Willingness to be part of emergency response teams if needed

About the Assignment This role is based in a prominent hospital in Baton Rouge, LA, featuring a dynamic and fast-paced OB department. You will provide vital labor and delivery services, including assisting with cesarean procedures, initial newborn care, and triage evaluations.
