Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - 3026527
We are seeking experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses (RNs) for contract assignments at a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit. These roles are available on day and night shifts and are ideal for L&D nurses with strong clinical skills seeking a contract or travel-style assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and laboring patients
- Manage and support high-acuity obstetric patients, including those with complications
- Assist with labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean sections, and recovery care
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, including interpretation of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiology, neonatology, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Administer medications and interventions per provider orders and facility protocols
- Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and accurate documentation
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience managing high-acuity obstetric patients
- BLS (AHA required)
- ACLS and NRP required
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in urgent or emergent situations
Contract Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts per week
- Shifts Available: Days and Nights
- Employment Type: Contract (not a permanent full-time role)
