Job Description

Labor & Employment Attorney

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to represent employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters, including counseling, compliance, and litigation. This role combines proactive client counseling with hands-on litigation and administrative representation, working directly with public and private sector employer clients.

Responsibilities:

Advise clients on employment policies and practices and regulatory compliance
Negotiate collective bargaining agreements for public employers
Assist with and respond to union grievances
Handle administrative proceedings before labor and employment agencies
Represent employers in state and federal court in matters involving discrimination, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and related employment claims

Qualifications:

Active bar admission in NH
Experience in labor and employment law, employer-side representation preferred
Experience with collective bargaining and union relations a plus
Strong litigation and administrative hearing experience
Excellent client counseling, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to manage a varied caseload involving both compliance/counseling and litigation work
