SummaryThe Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Specialist provides technical and programming support for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting instrument integration, and assisting with laboratory data automation projects. The specialist works closely with laboratory operations, Customer Applications, and R&D teams to ensure efficient data management and system functionality. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with LIMS administration or support in a laboratory environment.
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
Programming experience (Java, C++, JavaScript, or Python) preferred.
Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking.
Understanding of instrument integration and communication interfaces (USB, RS-232, Ethernet).
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and multitasking skills.
