Laborer - Grain Export

Laborer is responsible for housekeeping and operational functions, as well as other various operational functions of the plant. This role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.

Facility runs 24/7 operations. Schedules will vary & will work a rotating 12 hr shift schedule. Overtime required as part of the normal schedule, call out availability, and an on-call rotation.

Pay rate: $20.59 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist in all areas of loading, unloading, and transferring of grain and grain products
• Operate conveyance equipment utilized in shipping, receiving, and transferring of grain and grain products
• Operate safety systems associated with facility equipment
• Visually monitor grain and grain products for irregularities and take appropriate action upon discovery
• Remove choke-ups and clean spills
• Clean and prepare storage facilities
• Guage and report product levels in storage, barges, trucks, vessels, and railcars
• Daily equipment checks and other routine checks
• Assist in all grain handling functions
• Operation of skid loader, front end loader, and other location specific equipment
• Maintain current training requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• TWIC card or ability to obtain TWIC card required
