Labs Associate

Introduction

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Labs Associate. This role involves critical tasks that contribute to the overall process of our lab operations, including handling and processing various types of samples.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), material safety data sheets (MSDSs), operating and maintenance instructions, government rules, and technical procedures.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Strong initiative and follow-through.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as a team contributor.
• Must demonstrate a high level of customer service.
• Good computer skills and/or data entry.
• Meet the physical requirements that go with working as a Lab Associate, including the ability to transport hazardous waste within the facility and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working overnights, ideally recent experience or an understanding of what it takes to acclimate.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment, such as LabCorp, Quest, large hospitals, or fulfillment centers.
• Willingness to work with and handle blood, urine, fecals, and biopsies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Checking in couriers and managing sample logistics.
• Unbagging, bar coding, and moving samples around the lab.
• Loading samples into analyzers and adding samples into centrifuges.
• Swirling samples with a liquid chemical and pulling samples from refrigerated storage.
