Responsibilities:

As a Lactation Educator (RN), you will serve as a clinical expert in lactation care, providing hands‑on support, consultation, and education for patients and families. This role strengthens care quality through interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence‑based guidance, and the development of specialized programs that enhance breastfeeding support across the continuum of care.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire

  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse License required

  • Certified Lactation Counselor or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

  • Register with the NM Board of Nursing Lactation Care Providers.

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS
