Position Summary
Sea Fox Boat Company is seeking a dependable and hardworking Cut & Grind Technician to support our boat manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for cutting, grinding, trimming, and preparing fiberglass components to meet production specifications. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, works safely, and takes pride in producing quality work.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings
Cut, grind, and trim fiberglass parts to specification
Use hole saws, sanders, grinders, and other hand and power tools
Accurately read and use a tape measure
Maintain production pace to ensure timely delivery of parts to the manufacturing line
Safely get on and off boat decks and hulls as required
Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized
Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping guidelines
Work professionally and cooperatively with team members
Physical Requirements
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull throughout the shift
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to work in a covered warehouse environment with varying temperatures
Comfortable working on boat decks and hull surfaces
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
Successfully complete a drug screening and background check
Be comfortable operating power tools, hand tools, sanders, and grinders
Demonstrate the ability to use a hole saw
Accurately read a tape measure
Be dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
Previous fiberglass or boat manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required for motivated candidates willing to learn.
