Job Description

Professional Engineer – Land Development

Compensation: Competitive base salary, bonus potential, and full benefits

A growing civil engineering firm is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer with a strong land development background. This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful site/civil projects, work directly with clients and municipalities, and grow within a stable team with a strong project backlog.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support land development and site/civil engineering projects from concept through construction.

  • Prepare and review grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, roadway, and site-layout designs.

  • Produce construction documents, permitting packages, cost estimates, and technical reports.

  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, contractors, architects, surveyors, and internal design teams.

  • Support project schedules, budgets, proposal efforts, and client relationships.

  • Mentor junior engineers and designers as responsibilities grow.

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocity.

  • 3+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus in land development, site development, or stormwater design.

  • Experience with commercial, residential, industrial, municipal, mixed-use, or site-development projects.

  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and applicable design software.

  • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, municipalities, and internal project teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
