Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary – Landlord/Tenant Group Location: Galleria Area, Houston, TX Compensation: Salary based on experience Position Overview Our firm is seeking a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary to support our Landlord/Tenant practice group. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and able to manage a fast?paced workflow with accuracy and professionalism. A minimum of three years of relevant legal experience is preferred; however, we are also open to candidates who demonstrate exceptional aptitude, quick learning, and strong critical?thinking skills. Key Responsibilities Prepare, revise, and format legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, notices, and filings Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, and court dates Coordinate filings with courts and administrative agencies (electronic and in?person) Maintain organized case files, both digital and physical Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal team members Assist with billing, time entry, and administrative tasks as needed Support attorneys with day?to?day case management and project coordination Qualifications Minimum of three years’ experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary, ideally in litigation or landlord/tenant matters OR demonstrated exceptional aptitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to learn quickly Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities High attention to detail and accuracy in all work Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality HOUGW34
