Job Description

We are a quickly-growing, award-winning, full-service lawn and landscape company that is looking for a qualified business developer to help drive our continued growth. Our client profile consists of commercial accounts, which lends itself to great daily variety in the relationships you'll build and the deals you'll close.

This position is not a junior or assistant role, but does include working hand-in-hand with our ownership and management team to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.

general familiarity with the landscape industry or related sales experience

Daily duties may include:

identifying and prospecting new residential and commercial client opportunities

preparing and presenting proposals and estimates

building and maintaining relationships with property managers, HOAs, and homeowners

following up on leads and closing new contracts

coordinating with crews and management to ensure client expectations are met

attending networking events and building referral partnerships

Bonus characteristics we look for in individuals include:

prior sales experience in the green industry or a related trade

familiarity with broad landscape design, hardscaping, or irrigation concepts

existing network of commercial property contacts

We are not currently looking for individuals who only have cold-calling experience with no relationship-building or closing skills.

Work hours are generally 8am-5pm with flexibility for client meetings and networking events, and are at least 40 hours per week, with additional hours often needed during the busy Spring and Fall seasons.
