Job Summary

We are open to candidates with transferable CNC or fabrication experience and are willing to train the right person.

We are seeking a Laser Programmer / CNC Press Brake Programmer to support daily production in a sheet metal fabrication environment. This role focuses on creating and adjusting programs for laser cutting and press brake equipment to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on CNC programming experience who is looking to grow their skills, work with modern equipment, and be part of a collaborative manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities

Create and modify CNC programs for laser cutting and press brake machines
Read and interpret prints, drawings, and work orders
Assist with part nesting to improve material usage and reduce scrap
Select basic tooling and bend sequences with support from leads or engineering
Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve part or setup issues
Support machine setup and troubleshooting as needed
Verify first-piece quality and make adjustments when required
Maintain organized program files and basic documentation
Follow all safety, quality, and shop procedures

Required Qualifications

Experience with CNC laser programming and/or CNC press brake programming
Ability to read blueprints and basic CAD drawings
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication concepts
Experience with programming software such as TruTops, BySoft, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred (Not Required)

1–2 years of CNC programming experience
Exposure to Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, or similar equipment
Experience with nesting software
Basic understanding of bend allowances and material types
Manufacturing or fabrication shop experience

Work Environment

Fabrication/manufacturing facility
Standing and walking throughout the shift
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Exposure to production equipment and normal shop noise
