Laundry Aide - PRN

Position Details:PRN (As needed). No guarantee of hours. Various shifts.

Position Summary:

The Laundry Aide follows Safety and Infection Prevention best practices to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary linen are provided to specified patient care areas in the appropriate quantities and in a timely manner. Safely transports clean and soiled linens, sorts and processes linens, operates a variety of equipment to include commercial-sized washing machines, dryers, folding and transfer containers and carts and ensures their work area and linen storage areas are cleaned and disinfected all according to department and Lake Health District policy and procedure.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Must have State of Oregon Driver License or the ability to obtain one.

Experience:

Previous experience preferred; training available.

Job Knowledge & Skills:One year's laundry experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
