Lakeview Village is a continuing care retirement community. We have an opening for a Laundry Worker to work PRN.

Lakeview's Laundry Worker provides laundry services to residents and other departments in the most efficient and timely manner possible in accordance with established procedure and policies, ensuring that the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives and follows cleaning schedule/instructions from supervisor
• Collects soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. that have been placed in appropriate containers in assigned soiled utility areas or carts, following regulations and using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follows and maintains established procedures on cross contamination, infectious material, etc. to assure that the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times, following regulations and using proper PPE.
• Lists and counts non-personal flat linen, sheets, pillowcases, towels, etc. (and mark) as needed.
• Responsible for marking all resident personal clothing in Care Center within 48 hours of admission.
• Sorts and separates items that require special stain removal/treatment. Wash and dry laundry per instruction.
• Separates, folds, stacks (hang/bag where required) and deliver to respective areas.
• Responsible for ensuring that all laundry is returned to the appropriate resident.
• Cleans work area at end of shift.
• Reports equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisor as soon as possible.
• Ensures that Resident Rights are being followed at all times, including those of fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including rights to express grievances are followed.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Handles stress well, gets along with others in the workplace, maintains acceptable standards of conduct.
• Adheres to all safety regulations and requirements.
• Completes trainings as required by policy.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
