About Us

We are a growing California civil litigation firm representing clients in a broad range of complex litigation matters, including general liability, construction defect, personal injury, business litigation, and real property disputes. Our attorneys are trusted with meaningful work, encouraged to think strategically, and supported by a collaborative team that values exceptional legal writing as much as courtroom advocacy. We believe great legal work begins with great people and provide an environment where talented attorneys can continue to grow professionally. Confidential Employer.

Job Description

  • Draft and oppose a broad range of law and motion filings, including demurrers, motions to strike, motions for summary judgment, motions for summary adjudication, motions in limine, discovery motions, and other dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research supporting litigation strategy, client advisement, and case development.
  • Prepare persuasive pleadings, legal memoranda, briefs, appellate-quality research, and other litigation documents.
  • Analyze opposing counsel's motions and develop effective legal arguments and written responses.
  • Collaborate with litigation attorneys handling general liability, construction defect, personal injury, business litigation, and real property matters.
  • Assist with litigation strategy and legal analysis throughout all phases of complex civil litigation.
  • Manage multiple drafting assignments while meeting court deadlines and maintaining exceptional work quality.
  • Communicate with attorneys and clients regarding legal strategy, motion status, and litigation developments.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's Newport Beach, Sacramento, and Pleasant Hill offices on active litigation matters throughout California.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license.
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Significant law and motion experience, including drafting and opposing dispositive motions, discovery motions, pleadings, briefs, and legal memoranda.
  • Outstanding legal research and persuasive writing abilities.
  • Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: general liability, construction defect, personal injury, business litigation, real property, or civil defense.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and issue-spotting skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple drafting projects and litigation deadlines.
  • 5+ years of experience preferred for consideration at a more senior level.

Why You Will Love Working Here

If you're the attorney colleagues turn to for the brief that wins the motion, this role was built for you. Your writing and strategic thinking will directly influence complex litigation across multiple practice areas, giving you exposure to sophisticated matters without sacrificing work-life balance. You'll collaborate with accomplished litigators who value thoughtful legal analysis, while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid or remote work. With two immediate openings, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team that genuinely appreciates outstanding legal writing.
