Job Description
Stone Pigman is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Trainer to join our law firm as a part-time employee. This position is designed for approximately 20 to 28 hours per week and will focus on delivering effective training to all firm users. The Trainer will play a vital role in ensuring that paralegals, lawyers, and legal assistants are consistently equipped with the skills and knowledge required to excel in their job duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and update training materials focusing on both litigation and business practice areas.
- Conduct group and one-on-one training sessions for paralegals, lawyers, and legal assistants to ensure consistent performance and understanding of firm procedures.
- Assess training needs and adapt programs to address evolving requirements and technology changes.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities and monitor progress of development.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify areas for improvement and provide targeted support.
- Stay current with industry best practices and legal technology relevant to law firm operations.
- Maintain analysis and records of utilization of the training resources, individual development plans for each user, and contribute the statistics for support of evaluation requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a legal support staff member in a law firm setting.
- Previous experience providing training in a law firm or legal environment required.
- Strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in document management, records management, Microsoft Office, e-discovery platforms and e-filing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and deliver training within a scaled-down schedule.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
