Job Description

Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader Great Outdoors is hiring an experienced Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader to head a residential and commercial lawn care team in the Ann Arbor, MI area. We offer a starting wage of $22.00 – $26.00 per hour. Since every client property is unique, you will use your lawn care expertise, team management skills, and creative problem-solving to deliver tailor-made, high-quality service.   • Pay Rate:$22.00 – $26.00 / hour
  • Job Type: Full-time, Year-Round (Lawn maintenance and winter snow removal)
  • Location:Ann Arbor, MI (Serving Southeast Michigan)

Key Responsibilities
  • Tailored Client Service: Collaborate with clients to understand their unique goals and opinions for their property, using creativity to exceed expectations.
  • Crew Leadership: Supervise and delegate tasks to your crew using a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Training & Mentorship: Develop the hands-on skills of your crew members while maintaining high morale.
  • Active Communication: Coordinate directly with crew members, management, and clients to solve operational problems on the fly. 
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years of lawn mowing service experience and 1+ years specifically leading and managing a crew.
  • Credentials: Valid Michigan Chauffeur's License and a current DOT Medical Card are mandatory.
  • Screening: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and a 90-day probationary period.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to read/write/speak English, complete physical labor, and work outside in all weather conditions for both lawn and snow services.
  • Education & Transit: High School diploma or equivalency, and reliable transportation to our shop in Ann Arbor, MI.
Desired Qualifications 
  • Language: Ability to speak Spanish is highly desired.
  • Leadership: 2+ years of direct experience specifically as a Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader.
