The Office of the Visitors Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our LDA - Coordinator of Events & Pre College Programs position. The minimum starting salary for this position is $44,577. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree

• 2 years of student employment within guest relations/tour experience required. Student volunteer work and/or internship experience will be considered.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to function in a dynamic environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, and students
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
• Excellent grammar and proofreading skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Detail oriented
• Possess a strong, proven record of teamwork
• Capable of working individually and in a team environment
• High level of personal initiative

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment-based visa status.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Must have some experience giving oral presentations.
• 2+ years experience working with diverse populations, student employment included.
• Previous work with student employees or campus tours.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience and knowledge of working with a tour/ambassador program
• Knowledge and experience working with Undergraduate Admissions or Student Services & Experience

The Division

The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 190 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Center for Financial Wellness, University Registrar, Pre-college Research Excellence Programs, EM Research & Analytics, EM Communications, and EM Operations. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality on-campus and off-campus experiences for prospective students, families, and pre-college program participants. Working closely with departmental leadership, this role contributes to signature recruitment events, statewide and regional outreach efforts, and academic programs that advance the University's enrollment and engagement goals.
