In these roles, you will work collaboratively to create a warm, engaging classroom environment while supporting children’s development across all domains. This is an ideal opportunity for educators who value community, consistency, and being part of a mission-driven school focused on early childhood growth and Jewish learning.Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for young children.
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum.
- Lead Teachers: Design curriculum and lead family communication.
- Assistant Teachers: Support classroom activities and daily routines.
- Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with teaching team members to support a positive classroom and school culture.
- Lead Teachers: Minimum of 6 early childhood education credits required.
- Assistant Teachers: High school diploma required.
- All candidates must be at least 19 years old.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred for Lead Teachers.
- Previous experience working with young children preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and classroom management.
- Warm, engaging, and relationship-driven approach.
- Must meet Illinois DCFS licensing requirements.
