Lead, Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics

Full Time, 36 hours per week, no nights or weekends

Job Overview:

The Lead, Registered Nurse (RN) offers friendly, courteous, and confidential assistance to every patient/client to ensure that the patient/client has a positive experience while at Jordan Valley Community Health Center.

Duties:

  • Utilize nursing knowledge and skills in the safe implantation of basic preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care of assigned patient/family as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive patient care outcomes.
  • Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.
  • Perform delegated nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Assists in data collection on the EMR. Documents pertinent observation and intervention on appropriate record.
  • Contributes to the development of the patient/significant other plan of care based on the identified patient problems/needs. Report needs of the patient and observations regarding condition to the provider.
  • Administers medication accurately, observing patient response, as evidenced by documentation in the medical record and lack of negative outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team in coordination of the patient's care as evidenced by other department feedback.
  • Answers and refers telephone calls or other inquires to ensure accurate and timely communications as facilitated.
  • Assists in the orientation/training of new Team Members and functions as a role model for current/new staff.
  • Takes direction and initiate actions (cross/additional training) that will allow the assumption of cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop schedules for team members.
  • Participate in staff development programs.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 1 year work experience.
  • IV Certified.
  • Current MO RN license.
  • Current BLS required.
