Job DetailsLead BAS Controls Technician80% Nationwide Travel | Can be based any where in the US Summary: We’re seeking a Lead BAS Controls Technician to oversee the installation, programming, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems across commercial and mission-critical sites throughout the U.S. This role is hands-on, travel-intensive, and ideal for someone who enjoys leading field teams, solving complex controls issues, and bringing high-performance HVAC systems online.________________________________________Key Responsibilities

Lead field installation, device termination, point-to-point testing, and full BAS/DDC system commissioning.
Program and modify HVAC control sequences; configure BAS networks, graphics, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus).
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and communication issues during startup.
Supervise subcontractors and guide on-site technicians; interpret drawings and ensure installation aligns with design intent.
Coordinate daily with project managers, engineers, and customers to keep projects on schedule.
Maintain accurate as-builts, commissioning reports, logs, and turnover documentation.
Serve as the primary technical contact during installation, startup, and training.

3+ years of BAS/DDC installation, programming, and commissioning experience.
Experience with major BAS platforms (Siemens, JCI, ALC, Delta, Distech, Honeywell, etc.).
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, digital controls, and networking fundamentals.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, or similar protocols.
Strong leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to travel 80% nationwide.
