Job Description
About the Role: Struction Solutions is seeking a qualified Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor to perform inspections, risk assessments, and evaluations in compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience identifying, sampling, and reporting on lead-based paint hazards in residential, commercial, and government facilities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct lead-based paint risk assessments and inspections following EPA, HUD, and Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) regulations.
Collect and analyze paint, dust, and soil samples in accordance with approved protocols.
Prepare detailed and accurate reports summarizing findings, risk levels, and recommendations.
Maintain proper chain-of-custody documentation for all samples collected.
Ensure all work adheres to federal, state, and local environmental health standards.
Communicate results and recommendations effectively with clients and project managers.
Requirements:
Active Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor License (required).
Completion of an accredited Lead Inspector training course (prerequisite for Risk Assessor certification).
Strong understanding of lead-safe work practices and relevant environmental regulations.
Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience performing lead inspections or risk assessments in residential or commercial settings.
Familiarity with data collection equipment and XRF analyzers.
Certification in additional environmental disciplines (e.g., asbestos, mold, industrial hygiene) is a plus.
