Job Description
Lead Dental Assistant
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team. The Lead Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the doctor during procedures, supporting clinical team operations, ensuring excellent patient care, and maintaining efficient daily workflow within the office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during general and advanced dental procedures.
- Lead and support dental assistants and clinical staff.
- Ensure treatment rooms are fully stocked, clean, and organized.
- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Take digital X-rays, impressions, and intraoral scans as needed.
- Educate patients on treatment and post-operative instructions.
- Assist with coordinating daily clinical flow and team support.
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies when necessary.
- Help train and mentor new team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience required.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and instruments.
- X-ray certification required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Open Dental or similar dental software preferred.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
