Job Description

Our client, a global leader in electrical equipment manufacturing focused on power distribution, is on the lookout for an experienced professional to spearhead engineering initiatives in their Greenville, SC location.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate and interpret detailed customer specifications, RFQs, and technical documentation pertinent to high-voltage circuit breakers to ensure precise adherence to requirements. - Guarantee alignment with industry benchmarks including IEEE, ANSI, and IEC standards, while identifying and documenting any deviations. - Strategize and propose optimal product configurations and engineering solutions tailored to client specifications. - Conduct meticulous reviews and enhancements of electrical schematics, wiring layouts, and control blueprints. - Facilitate technical discourse during sales and competitive bid negotiations, ensuring alignment of goals. - Partner effectively with cross-disciplinary teams encompassing sales, engineering, and production to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges. - Participate actively in the product development lifecycle, including testing phases and certification processes through reputable third-party entities. - Promote the evolution of compliance processes and enhance documentation standards consistently.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a valid PE license. - A minimum of 5 years' experience within the power systems or switchgear sector. - Profound understanding of electrical transmission, distribution, and substation apparatus. - Proven expertise in scrutinizing technical specifications and identifying compliance discrepancies. - Competent in deciphering electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings. - Exceptional communication skills accompanied by the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. - Preferred qualifications include familiarity with vacuum circuit breakers (38kV-145kV), testing/validation, and proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
