Lead HVAC Propane Technician

- Waterbury, VT Our client is a well-known Oil and Gas/fuel distribution company looking to hire a Lead HVAC Propane Technician to join their growing Oil and Propane Division in Middlebury, Vermont. This role involves overseeing all day-to-day activities, supervising technicians and installers, ensuring consistent service quality, and managing the division to achieve profitable operations. They are continually growing and seeking a strong leader to take them to the next level. Responsibilities: Oversee all daily operational scheduling to ensure smooth coordination of field activities and timely project execution. Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development for HVAC technicians and installers. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, industry codes, and regulatory requirements across all operations. Prepare detailed project assessments and develop accurate estimates for HVAC installations, replacements, and service work. Maintain high-quality standards by verifying that work is completed with precision, accuracy, and professionalism. Manage and monitor labor, material, and overhead costs to support operational efficiency and financial performance. Collaborate closely with suppliers and subcontractors to secure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in HVAC service and installation. A valid Vermont license for propane piping and service technician and/or CETP certification. EPA is a plus Strong proficiency in preparing accurate estimates. Experience using HVAC service software and project management tools. Compensation: Base salary up to 105k/year A 401k plan with a 5% company match.
