Job Description
Lead HVAC Service Technician
- HVAC - Base Salary to 45.00/hour
- Norwalk, CT Our client is part of a nationwide network of locally owned and operated franchises with dedicated home teams! Each team is deeply rooted in their community, providing personalized service and understanding the unique challenges of the local climate. The Lead HVAC Service Technician will be the first Service Technician within the company and will help to train a team of additional technicians for residential and light commercial projects. This role requires someone with excellent HVAC knowledge and a friendly, professional demeanor for working with clients and selling/recommending additional products and services. Responsibilities: Lead installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems. Help train and oversee a team of HVAC Technicians. Supervise and mentor HVAC technicians and apprentices, ensuring quality workmanship and skill development. Diagnose complex system issues and determine effective, code-compliant repair solutions. Oversee job sites, manage daily work assignments, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and local, state, and federal codes. Perform system start-ups, commissioning, and final inspections to verify proper operation. Communicate with customers, project managers, and office staff to explain work performed and address concerns. Review work orders, service reports, and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Assist with inventory control, equipment usage, and material ordering as needed. Provide technical expertise and support to improve team efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction. Provide service and sales guidance to customers to meet future needs of the client, including smart monitoring systems and replacements. Qualifications: 8+ years of HVAC experience on residential and commercial projects. CT state licensing (S1, S2, S3, S4, and EPA 608 Universal Type II). Team Lead and supervisory experience in HVAC industry. Professional and outgoing demeanor for on-site work with clients. Experience selling and engaging with clients. Team first attitude. Compensation: Base salary in the 40.00 - 45.00/hour range Sign on bonus. Medical Insurance. 401k. PTO. Company Vehicle and Gas Card. (Traveling up to 20-mile radius of Norwalk). #INDALL
